I heard a student shout, “Don’t let your books get wet!” It wasn’t raining or anything, it was just that the student’s friend was drinking some water while studying for their test (towards the end of the year, their university had some exams for the students to try and pass). I think the student was confident they were going to pass their test, and then right afterwards, both students were going to try to sell used textbooks to one of the online college book buyback companies. Most of the online textbook buying companies don’t like to buy books that have gotten water damage (like where someone spills their juice or soda all over a book and the pages get ruined). I know lots of the textbook buyback companies really enjoy buying and selling textbooks, and when a book comes in that’s damaged and defective, then in comparison to books that are in good condition, the chances of selling it go down (if it can be sold at all). Anyway, the student looked up at the friend, grabbed the water bottle and smiled a bit and said, “Look.” The bottle was completely empty; the used college textbook had no chance of getting wet from that bottle.
